THE OPTIONAL SOCIAL PROGRAMME

REST AND RELAX (AND PARTY IF YOU WANT TO!)

The GMen concept is simple… during the day you will be on your chosen short-break vacation COURSE, learning with other like-minded gay/bisexual/gay-friendly men and women and having a great time improving your language skills... or mastering wine tasting... or learning to make an amazing cocktail... or paddling a kayak on the open sea... or finding out what it takes to be a stand-up comedian etc etc!

During breaks you will be able to explore local cafes, bars and shops and maybe have some lunch-on-the-beach!

In the evening you will have the opportunity to cement new friendships and to meet the other men and women on the other GMen Brighton holiday Courses... or meet up with local friends... or tour Brighton... or just stay in your hotel relaxing!  Do whatever you want - nothing is compulsory!

Throughout your time in Brighton you are welcome to do whatever you like... to sleep in, to go out, to do your own thing, or join in with whatever other GMen participants are doing.

There are plenty of interesting cafes, bars and clubs in Brighton & Hove (many of them gay-owned)... you won’t have time to visit even half of them!  To give you an idea what you can look forward to, check out our web page of 'GAY BRIGHTON' CAFES, BARS & CLUBS we think worth visiting.

OPTIONAL SOCIAL PROGRAMME WITH YOUR GMEN HOST TEAM

Alongside our GMen Tutors who will be delivering the short-break vacation Courses on Saturday and Sunday our team of GMen Hosts will be on hand throughout your stay to help you have the best possible holiday:
  • to introduce you to other participants,
  • to chat and hang out,
  • to answer any questions you may have about GMen Brighton or the City of Brighton & Hove,
  • to run the Social Programme.
The Social Programme is entirely optional and included in the price of your booking - running from Friday evening to Sunday, it is open to all GMen Brighton participants.

Please click on the link to read more on the SOCIAL PROGRAMME DETAILS webpage.

“...an excellent way to meet other gay, bi and gay-friendly guys and girls away from the gay scene, but Brighton has that too for anyone who fancies it!”

WHY 'GAY BRIGHTON'?

GMen Brighton is all about bringing together interesting, friendly people for a relaxed, fun holiday... learning something new and making friends and contacts... not forgetting the options to shop, to sight see, to sunbathe on the beach and party each night in Brighton if you want to!

We love Brighton!  It's a diverse, energetic city with a reputation for great shopping, arts, eating, drinking and nightlife.  There is plenty going on in 'Gay Brighton', with plenty to see and do inland... not forgetting a sweeping beach and all the trappings of the seaside, from swanky hotels, big yachts and colourful beach huts to fish and chips, deckchairs and crazy golf.

Known as "Soho By The Sea", Brighton is "gay friendly" with plenty of gay cafes, bars and nightclubs.

Read more about why we think 'Gay Brighton' is the perfect short-break holiday location for GMen by clicking on the link to visit our WHY 'GAY BRIGHTON'? webpage.

Why not extend your stay in Brighton?  You are welcome to arrive a day or days (or weeks!) before your short-break City break holiday COURSE starts!  Or to stay on in 'Gay Brighton' afterwards.

FANCY ATTENDING BRIGHTON PRIDE IN AUGUST 2011?

Every year Brighton hosts 'Gay Pride'.  Summer PRIDE 2011 in Brighton & Hove has the theme “Pride and (No) Prejudice” and takes place over a week from Saturday 6 August to Sunday 14 August 2010.  (For full details see: http://www.brightonpride.org/festival-parade.php)

Brighton PRIDE 2011 has grown over the years to become a huge festival attended by over 100,000 people.  In any other year we would not hesitate to encourage you to consider attending for the Pride Parade and Main Event on Saturday 13 August 2011 (and maybe make a weekend of it!).

Both have been hugely colourful and great fun in the past but please note that new, expensive entry charges are being introduced in 2011 and there is considerable local controversy about the management and planning of Brighton PRIDE for 2011.

For more information please see our web page about BRIGHTON PRIDE 2011 and our PRICES & BOOKING page.

“…no pressure, just having time out from work with other men and women who are gay or gay-friendly, BBQs, beach, nightlife, super nice GMEN Tutors and Hosts… all excellent!”
