PARTICIPATING IN GMEN BRIGHTON'S SHORT-BREAK LEARNING ACTIVITY HOLIDAYS
WHAT KIND OF PERSON WILL I MEET ON GMEN BRIGHTON?
GMen Brighton is open to gay, bisexual and gay-friendly men and women aged 18 years and above and attracts people of all shapes and sizes, backgrounds and interests. You will meet men young and old, extrovert and introvert! As long as you are friendly, open minded, ready to make friends, learn new skills and have fun we are sure you will make lots of new contacts with interesting people (including other participants, GMen staff and locals) and have a great time. We just ask that everyone attending show respect for other participants and for our staff.
IS THERE A MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM AGE FOR PARTICIPANTS?
There is no upper age limit but we ask that everyone booking be 18 years or over.
ARE THERE ANY ACCESS ISSUES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES?
Unfortunately there are some physical access issues with some venues due to the age and nature of the buildings etc. These are outside of our control however we will do everything we can to accommodation anyone with a disability. Please CONTACT US with details of your disability before you book, so that we can advise you properly on this and make any necessary arrangements.
I AM COMING FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY, WILL I BE MADE WELCOME?
We are very pleased to welcome anyone wishing to attend, from any country. Wherever you live in the world you are welcome to join us on GMen Brighton. If you are traveling to the UK in the Summer for sightseeing/touring in the UK, GMen Brighton is the perfect way to meet gay and bisexual men and to see more of Britain than just London! Are you looking for a fun City short-break weekend holiday? Brighton is a great destination for a weekend City break - easy to reach from any London airport but especially close to Gatwick airport. You can come to Brighton for a long-weekend and do any Course if your English is okay, or book on the English As A Foreign Language course if you want to improve your conversational English.
ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE, WILL I BE OKAY?
Provided you can speak and read basic English with confidence you should be fine. We are happy to welcome participants from other countries and cultures. (If your English is really basic why not consider booking on the English As A Foreign Language course if you want to improve your conversational English?)
DO I HAVE TO BOOK ACCOMMODATION?
No, you book GMen Brighton as a non-residential day package over 1-2 nights, 2 days. Your chosen course and the social programme are included. Please make your ACCOMMODATION arrangements separately.
WILL GMEN BRIGHTON ARRANGE MY TRAVEL TO BRIGHTON UK IF REQUIRED?
No, we cannot arrange your travel to Brighton but Brighton is easy to reach by road, rail and air (London Gatwick is the nearest airport). Please click on the link to read our TRAVEL INFORMATION.
GMen Brighton has a long-standing relationship with Web company OMTAC Ltd which will be taking care of payment processing and logistical arrangements including all bookings and accommodation. Please note that your payment(s) are processed through OMTAC's Merchant Services account with PayPal and/or bank account with Barclays Bank Plc. Any charges will therefore appear on your Credit/Debit Card statement in the name of OMTAC Ltd. OMTAC Ltd is registered in England and Wales no. 3843319, VAT no: 753463130.

We have carefully recruited qualified, experienced Tutors with a positive attitude and passion for teaching. We are really pleased with our teaching staff and we know you will enjoy learning from them. Our GMen Hosts have also been carefully selected for their friendly nature, knowledge of Brighton and commitment to ensuring you enjoy your visit to 'Gay Brighton' - whether you are looking for relaxation and gentle conversation or partying into the night in Gay Brighton's pubs and clubs. PRICES & BOOKING INFORMATION FOR YOUR GMEN BRIGHTON SHORT-BREAK HOLIDAY
HOW DO I BOOK?
Having decided on your dates and preferred course please complete and submit a booking form with credit/debit card details for your deposit payment, or send your deposit payment by Wire/bank transfer/BACS/Internet banking. On receipt of your deposit your place(s) will be confirmed. For full booking information please see the PRICES & BOOKING INFO section.
Yes, you are welcome to book for one or more people, on the same or different Courses.
CAN I BOOK WITH MY FRIENDS?
Yes, you are welcome to book for one or more people, on the same or different Courses.
ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS FOR GROUP BOOKINGS?
Unfortunately we cannot offer any discounts for group bookings but individuals booking as part of a Group may benefit from Special Discounts/Concessions such as a 'Student' or 'Returner' discount. (For more information on discounts please see the PRICES & BOOKING INFO section.)
CAN I ATTEND MORE THAN ONE SHORT-BREAK HOLIDAY COURSE?
Yes, absolutely, you are welcome to book for two or more consecutive short-break COURSES one after the other, doing your own thing during the time between your holiday Courses - relaxing, touring locally or perhaps spending time in London or other areas etc. Or you can book for more than one holiday on different dates, attending one or more holiday Courses and then coming back another time for another holiday. The social programme will probably be the same or similar for each short-break Course you book but you can do different holiday Courses and obviously the people you meet will change each time. (People booking for more than one holiday Course are known as 'Returners' and benefit from a special discount for after their first Course, please see the PRICES & BOOKING INFO section.)
ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS FOR PEOPLE BOOKING TO COME BACK FOR ANOTHER WEEKEND/COURSE?
Yes, if you have been on a GMen Brighton Course before, or you are booking for more than one weekend holiday, you qualify for the 'Returner' discount for your second booking and all subsequent bookings. (For more information on discounts please see the PRICES & BOOKING INFO section.)
ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE OR STUDENTS?
Yes, if you are aged 18 to 24 years (on or before Day 1 of your holiday) or you are a registered student you qualify for a discount on the normal booking price. (For more information on discounts please see the PRICES & BOOKING INFO section.)
CAN I BOOK GMEN BRIGHTON FOR SOMEONE ELSE?
Yes, we are happy to accept a booking on behalf of someone else, please complete the booking form and provide payment details, stating that you are booking on behalf of the person named. If you want us to contact you no them when we confirm the booking please give your contact details at the bottom of the booking form.
CAN I BOOK A PLACE ON GMEN BRIGHTON AS A PRESENT FOR SOMEONE ELSE?
Yes, see above. If you want it to be a surprise for someone, or you are not sure about the dates and/or course the other person will want to attend we can send a Letter Voucher for them to use when booking. CONTACT US for further information.
CAN I ATTEND GMEN BRIGHTON AND BRIGHTON PRIDE 2011?
Yes, you can book to attend one or more Courses before and/or after Brighton PRIDE 2011, staying in 'Gay Brighton' for the PRIDE 2011 long weekend. GMen Brighton will not run any courses over the 'Gay Brighton' PRIDE 2011 long weekend. Please click on the link for more information about BRIGHTON PRIDE 2011.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT THE HOLIDAY COURSE I WANT TO DO?
No problem, we are very happy to move you to another holiday Course topic provided we receive 14 or more days notice and have a space available on the Course you would prefer to do.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CHANGE THE DATES OF MY BOOKING?
We are happy to change your booking to alternative dates (and/or an alternative Course topic if you wish) provided we receive 14 or more days notice and have a space available on the dates and short-break learning Course you would prefer to do. However we cannot guarantee this and ask that you give us as much notice as possible.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY BOOKING?
If you need to cancel your booking completely we will refund you in full provided you give us at least 14 working days notice. If you cancel with 7-13 working days notice we will refund you 75% of your non-residential Course fee. If you cancel with 3-6 working days notice we will refund you 50% of your non-residential Course fee. If you cancel with 2 or less working days notice we will not be able to refund you any of your non-residential Course fee however all bookings are transferable, so if you wish to cancel and are able to find someone else to take your booking you are welcome to transfer your booking to them (any financial settlement must be arranged directly to your satisfaction).

WHAT ABOUT CONFIDENTIALITY?
We absolutely respect your privacy. We fully understand that you may have particular concerns about confidentiality when booking your short-break holiday with GMen Brighton. Neither GMen Brighton nor OMTAC Ltd will make your personal details available to any third party. We aim to be discrete and respectful of your confidentiality at all times when corresponding with you and sending you information about your booking and any special offers or further information. If at any time you are concerned or unhappy with your treatment by us in this respect please do not hesitate to CONTACT US.
